You arrive to a welcome drink in a clay kulhad, and it rather sets the tone. Signum Café cooks Indian, Chinese, Continental and Italian, buffet or à la carte, indoors or under an open sky. The best evenings start in the kitchen garden – walk it with the chef, pick what looks good, then sit down on the lawns and watch it come off the clay chulha in front of you.
Breakfast is laid out from 08:00 to 10:30 on the 4th floor, four storeys above Nipania, and it is a good place to start slowly. Through the rest of the day the kitchen runs Indian, Chinese, Continental and Italian à la carte, with a barbecue menu cooked to order – just ask when you sit down. And if the day has already been long enough, the same kitchen will send it up to your room.
Come up to the 4th floor and the whole terrace is glass, with the hills and Mansa Devi on one side and the ghats a short walk below. The kitchen is entirely vegetarian and happy to cook Jain or Gujarati to order, across Indian, Chinese, Continental and Italian menus. Breakfast is a buffet each morning; tell us in advance and lunch or dinner can be laid for you too.
